Digital citizenship is the ability to engage positively, critically and competently in the digital environment. The participation in the digital world should be in such a way that it fosters positive interaction between the social media users knowing the rights and responsibilities of every individuals. In addition, digital citizenship is guided by certain laws and etiquette with regards to the use of technology in this digital era. It also enables people to use digital tools wisely, appropriately, and in an empowered way in which it plays a vital role in the life of every social media users. Understanding TPACK Model

 25/04/2024 Thursday In this session, we learned about the TPACK model which deliberately stands for Technology, Pedagogical, And Content Knowledge. This model or framework was developed by Punya Mishra and Matthew J.Koehler of Michigan States University in 2006. It was developed mainly to ensure the successful integration of technology in the classroom. Unlike SAMR model, this model aspires for the integration of all the three knowledge dimension (content, pedagogical, and technology) whereas SAMR model don't demand the pedagogical knowledge. The content knowledge is about the extent of knowledge that one have as a teacher to ensure that the lesson is deliver well and as expected (pedagogical knowledge-the way teacher deliver the lesson). Finally, the technological knowledge is about the appropriate integration of technology in the classroom to ensure quality teaching and learning in the classroom. ICT Integration Model- SAMR Model

There are basically three types of ICT integration model and they are SAMR model, TPACK model, and ASSURE model respectively. The main focused in this session has been on the SAMR model developed by Dr. Ruben Puentedura. We have learned that the particular model was created mainly to share a common language across disciplines as teachers strive to personalize learning and helps students visualize complex concepts. On top of that, SAMR model is seen as one of the power tools during the remote and blended learning when integrated classroom technology makes teaching and learning a more seamless experience for educators and students. The abbreviation SAMR is respectively known as Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition.
