Informative Tool
In this session, we
have learned about the informative tool. Informative tools are the applications
which provide vast repositories of information through videos, images, texts, graphics,
sound and animations. With those applications, teachers can create a
stimulating learning environment by encouraging learners to explore, think
critically, develop research skills and learn to integrate relevant
information. Not only that, informative tools encourage the learners to examine
material and improve their understanding of learning ideas. Henceforth, it
offer learners the opportunity to examine validated internet resources. Moreover,
it offer raw materials for pupils to arrange, reorganize, compare, and
construct. Because it plays a vital role in grooming our youngster into a
talented beings, we must integrate this tools in the classroom during teaching
and learning process. To achieve that, teachers must provide information or
references for the students in the beginning or during or after the activity,
ask the students to analyze, synthesize and manipulate the information provided
thereby asking them to construct their own knowledge and meaning.
We also learned to make
a simulated lesson out of one slide PowerPoint including all the formats (text,
audio, video and image) to deliver the concepts well to the primary students. I
have created a lesson on the topic “I Can Count” for class pp English. Through
this simulation, the students will be in a position to grasp the concepts
quickly with the usage of all the required formats. This is the link for the video i have created.
Steps to create a
single slide PowerPoint:
Step 1: gather the
relevant information on the topic you are going to make a presentation.
Step 2: analyze and
manipulate the gathered information to make a ppt.
Step 3: opened the PowerPoint
slide, insert a rectangle and dragged it from the top left corner to the bottom
right corner.
Step 4: change the fill
color of the rectangle and write the topic, subject, and class.
Step 5: then add the
animation respectively.
Step 6: repeat the
third step and hid the first slide of the PowerPoint.
Step 7: select “with
previous” animation in the animation pane so that the slides will maintain its
flow simultaneously.
Step 8: repeat the step
number three several times until you write all the content that you wish to
deliver. Also insert the images.
Step 9: insert a voice
over by recording your voice using the audio recorder from the tool bar and
insert it in the slide.
Step 10: insert a
downloaded YouTube video related to the topic you are going to teach.
Step 11: play the PowerPoint.
